Rebecca Owen is an award-winning textile artist and longarm quilter based in Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland. With a lifelong passion for fabric and thread, Rebecca creates intricate, expressive works that celebrate colour, texture and the art of stitching. Her creative practice spans contemporary quilts, garments and thread sketching, combining traditional quilting techniques with fresh, innovative approaches. Through her work, Rebecca explores the creative possibilities of textiles, transforming fabric and thread into richly detailed pieces that celebrate craftsmanship, storytelling and the enduring art of making. Her work has been recognised through awards at the Auckland Festival of Quilts and featured in Open Studios Kaipātiki.
